General Admission + When Galaxies Collide

We live on a planet that orbits a star in the Milky Way Galaxy, which contains hundreds of billions of stars and moves through a universe filled with billions of  galaxies. It is inevitable that some galaxies will collide, including the Milky Way, which will eventually collide with the Andromeda Galaxy in a few billion years.  In the meantime, astronomers are studying galaxy collisions to understand what happens and all the ways those galaxies change each other in the process.  This discussion will review the conclusions of those studies and how we could eventually be effected here on Earth.
